Hi,
I have Avast Premium with VPN.
Since today there has been no Internet for my main desktop pc.
Windows 10, 64 bit.
Messages say ‘Internet Blocked’.
I have restarted my router several times - it always shows blue-healthy. It makes no difference.
Windows Diagnostics will not run either.
Malwarebytes can’t update - if I needed it to.
Have run out of tests to do.
Typing this on another pc.
Please advise!
Many thanks -

Found a Network Adapter issue, but it doesn’t seem to lead anywhere.

Can someone kindly suggest some Avast diagnostics to try here please?
All the pop-ups seem to point to Firewall, or similar, blocking my access to the Internet.
The pc says it has Internet access, yet no program can actually access the Internet, even Avast VPN says it is off-line.
Nothing makes sense at the moment.
This 2nd pc I am typing on, is connected to the same router - so the router not the problem.
Please advise - thank you!

I’ve had one reply over an hour ago - & that was just a link to somewhere else.
What is there left to do - delete Avast & look for another antivirus?
How may I do this safely please?
Thank you.

I have removed the Ethernet cable & successfully gone over to a wi-fi dongle.
The signal is a-ok 100%
There is still no Internet connection (email, etc) because Avast is blocking it.
How do I get Avast to unblock my access please?
Thank you.

Update
This is now a SECURITY ISSUE because my VPN won’t operate, & I am online - Avast has now rendered me open to potential hackers.
Please advise URGENTLY!
Thank you.

So I uninstalled both Avast Premium & Avast VPN.
I had my Internet back.
Downloaded Avast Free then upgraded back to Premium.
So far so good.

Thank you.
That article begs the question:
Why was my Internet connectivity blocked, while using only the Ethernet connection cable?
Wi-fi was employed as a last resort, it had no effect.
Why was there nothing in Avast to tell me it was blocking my computer?
Why was there no explanation for the blocking?
There should be something up-front for the user to see, without wading through the log files, I feel.
