I recently reinstralled Avast Premium and SecureLine after reinstalling Windows alltogether and now Avast AV crashes when trying to run Network inspector. It happens with or without SecureLine running.
It goes into infinitive loop of UI and protection crash/restart/crash until I restart PC or disable/enable protection from traybar
Before reinstalling it worked fine, now i cannot complete network scan
Yesterday I tried Network inspector on my machine, using Avast Premium and Windows 10 Pro, and having no problems. Did you try avast repair?
Tried repairs, reinstalling, even finding all files and registry entries from Avast
Only thing I did not do is reinstalling Windows, again

Based on your logs, this happens only if you try to scan network while having Avast SecureLine VPN active.
We hotfixed the crash and it should be released within a week, but the network scan will probably still fail with an error, because the compatibility of the Network Inspector with the VPN is currently broken. Hopefully we will fix the compatibility soon.
Log was from while using VPN, but this happens also while VPN is off. I can send logs when VPN is not active.
Also, when I restart pc VPN does NOT activate automatically even with option on, but on my older, probably expired subscription it did
In that case, please also upload the logs when VPN was offline, i will take a look into it. Thanks.

Ok, i was mistaken, i retract my previous statement. The cause was not the VPN, but the fact that the Network Inspector didn’t find any suitable network adapters on your computer. We don’t scan virtual adapters, and from the firewall logs it seems that all of your adapters are virtual.
So even when the crash is fixed, it won’t be able to scan your network.
May i ask you how are you connected to the internet or to your home network?

I changed physical network from Static to DHCP and now Network inspector works.
Maybe 2 connections with Static IP makes it crazy, since both physical and Virtual Hyper-V network #5 had static IPs. Now only one have Static IP and they both work properly
PC goes to TP-Link switch and from there goes to fritz.box router.

I tested your theory in VMware and Hyper-V using Free Avast and network inspector works on all networks that have outside connection with Windows 7, 10, even XP, which I must say avast still works good but for some reason cannot renew free license
Could some windows setting be blocking this test ?
I will remove VMware and Hyper-V to test will it work without any other than physical connection
Then we have a bug in network adapter discovery,
because our Network Inspector didn’t see your Realtek Gaming GbE Family Controller at first.
