The name says it is the ultimate in security, but when i scan it comes back with all these things that need to be fixed. If I click on resolve it ask me to buy more product. Well WTH does it do then if i need to buy more product to be secure. I also run VPN and keeps telling me i need to buy there VPN. SO at this point since i can’t find out through the help screens what it actual security it does provide, i am looking to go to another product.
First, I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member and I use Avast Free.
You can tone down remove many of these in Avast Menu > Settings General - Personal Privacy and Notifications settings.
Personally I don’t run on-demand scans, especially the Smart Scan. The need for an on-demand scan with an on-access antivirus is greatly depreciated.
Yeah, I had the same experience. Feels like it’s just a sales pitch wrapped in a security app. If I gotta pay extra for every feature, what’s the point of the base product? Switched to something else and haven’t looked back.
You may not have noticed I use Avast Free, it suits my requirements.
