We’ve had this issue about year ago when avast specifically SSL scanning was enabled it would brake connection and I had hard time retrieving emails from my providers server. Now we back again when randomly I have to keep closing and opening Outlook 2007 to connect to Rogers server.
When disabling avast mail shield issue is gone.
Any suggestions please.
Update:
Within the new avast settings I forgot the old settings even existed and I was looking for the SSL scanning earlier and I thought for some reason that was integrated somewhere.
It appears that sometimes during avast upgrade, SSL scanning got enabled. I have disabled it as my provider does scan SSL, anyways, If you would like, you can please close this thread.
