avast pro & window 10

Hi there
bring new laptop with windows 10.
I upgrated my avast pro, on old laptop (with w7): when I try to launch the .exe on new one, I receive the message, the app is not compatible…

how can I proceed ?

  • Remove any pre-installed av
  • Perform a clean installation of the latest avast version

I’m not clear exactly what it is that you have done.

Your topic Subject states a problem with “avast pro & window 10” yet I don’t see that in the body of the post. But you text indicates an old laptop with avast pro and win7.

Can you be more detailed what it is that you have done.
e.g. upgraded win7 to windows10 and avast is reported as not compatible.

If that were the case and that upgrade left programs in place, then you would need to do a clean install of avast pro.

I changed laptop: old w7, new w10.
When I run the A.exe updated on old laptop, to new one (w10), I received the answer, not compatible. I check the property of the A. software, It Shows only comp with W8: no W10.

what is wrong ?

problem solved with the Bob link’s.
I simply installed the avast pro version in the link and downloaded the license from the avast site.
