you dont say what avast version you have…free / avastPRO / avast AIS ?

That doesn’t really help us:
You need to say which avast ‘program’ you are using avast Free or avast Pro or avast Internet Security ?

Did you read the information on the link Pondus gave you as that should work if you are using the Pro or Internet Security program ?

If you are using one of the paid version avast! Pro or Internet Security, you should have received or had a link to download your avast license file (license.avastlic). This needs to be saved to your hard disk and then double click the license.avastlic file and avast should automatically enter the license activation.

OK, did you follow the information in the link Pondus gave or the information in the last paragraph of my previous post ?

Either of those should have been able to resolve the problem.

However, that assumes that you have actually paid for the avast Pro version (?) received the email with your license.avastlic attached or a link to download it ?
