Avast problems in Compatible Install

Well, first hello everyone!! Well, i have Kaspersky 2012 installed in my computer and i want avast! as my 2nd line of defense. The installation was very well, excepting that Kaspersky marked Avast.Install as a P2P.Worm, but i blotted it. Now the very big problem. I couldnt connect into internet from Chrome, opera, firefox. My internet connection was closed by avast. I also cannot view my emails beaucause Outlook uses SSL and avast says that it cant control this emails. Until i didn’t turn off the Web & Email shield, I cannot connect into the internet. Of course, i couldn’t registrarte the program or get updates :frowning: Please, release an Avast update to correct this VERY BIG problem. (Now i uninstalled it.)

And what did you set into Kaspersky 2012? Kaspersky antivirus or suite with firewall?

No, it’s only antivirus, it doesnt have any type of firewall (as i know at the moment. The version it´s Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2012 or KAV2012), and i also try to set avast as a exception in kaspersky exceptions settings but its the same… :frowning:

linuxct, I’ve asked for help for the developers.

I don’t think the compatible install mode is available / ready to work in the final 7.0.1407 version, but I might be wrong.

Found this trying to find information on compatible install… not rying to ressurect a dead thread.

Just wondering wher you got Avast download from. Iv read other posts, herre and other places on the net) about download dot com (from cnet) having things ‘hooked’ ontot he DL’s. I used to use them a lot, but then things started getting ‘wierd’ for lack of a better word. (IE wrong file sizes, wrong files when DL was complete, etc.)

OP, if your problem has went away, then disregard and let this fall back to the bottom.
