Ok now this message appear while i was doing a repairing of the product on avast today because a similar message appear while i was doing a quick scan today (so i though if do a repair it could fix the problem but it did not). this isn’t the only problem there is other times it comes with a combination of freezing, not responding and/or blue screen. this always happens when i go for a scan using my avast(free).

My PC OS: Vista home premium, 32bit(x86)

I also have Malware bytes running on my computer not sure if this is what causing it.

see instructions here https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0
scroll down to Farbar Recovery Scan Tool … run as instructed and attach the two diagnostic logs

here you go

log expert is notified, it may take some time before he is online…

do i need to add anything else Pondus?

Essexboy will give instructions when he have seen the logs

This is not malware related, however whilst I am here I will tidy up

CAUTION : This fix is only valid for this specific machine, using it on another may break your computer

is this done right?

My hubby went to register avast, and he got an email in Russian. We aren’t Russian. He thinks he was hacked. I don’t, but I would like to know what is going on. He sent a second request for the regestration email and that came in Russian also

RT2023 are you still getting the warning ? As it may be RAM related

Yesterday after I did the instruction and finish reinstalling it I run a quick scan, it froze from time to time but countinue on until it say something like show report which I click and froze the computer completely. So had to shut it down manually

Today in the morning I did another quick scan, it froze at 22% but after that it finish. click on show report which show no virus detection.

I going to do another scan tomorrow if I can.

Ok today (Tuesday at night) I run a quick scan, it froze at 40% spent about 23 minutes, after that I just shut down manually.

Did you do a clean re-install of Avast ?
