AVAST program update

Hi avast team, i just wanna ask, about the new program update that avast made, when i scan my registry using ccleaner this ‘issue’ always popping out in the list, any idea on this? Thanks in Advance

i attach a jpg file.

P.S.

This problem started when i updated into the new program version of avast.

This registry entry relates to the new NG (Virtual System Machines in the Tools section of avast) function. There may well be other such NG\vbox\file_name entries, I think I had three on my win7 netbook. Since that netbook is under resourced NG was a big hit so I removed it.

If you have removed or prevented the new NG function from running then this (and possibly others) registry entry will report that the associated file isn’t present.

Thanks for the reply, umm Is it ok to keep it as it is? It won’t do something on my system right?

They don’t represent any risk, essentially ccleaner is just saying there is no file of that name at that location, a redundant registry entry. I don’t use CCleaner’s registry cleaning tool, when I do use a registry cleaner I use another tool that allows me to exclude that reference in the future.

But you don’t really have to do anything.

Ow, I see, Thanks for the clarification man.

Which tool is it?

I use RegSeeker - whilst I find it useful - people might not find it very user friendly, not much in the way of in program help. So the user has to have a degree of knowledge, there are also other tools not just the registry cleaner, but it comes with a clear warning ‘use at your own risk’.

I believe it does dig deeper into the registry than the likes of CCleaner, which I feel is better if people aren’t familiar or comfortable within the registry.

Might not be compatible with later OSes.
