Hello everyone!
I would like to ask for some help. After 2-3 months of usage,my avast has decided that the intel rapid storage technology program is a virus/malware/suspicious or call it anything you desire. While dropping it into a quarantine doesn’t really affect my system, its really disturbs me that one of the programs i like to have running in the background cant operate anymore without manually starting it(plus the other five minutes until it puts back the files to their original place,if it does).
My question is,can anybody help me how to solve this issue without deleting avast from my PC? Repairing the files from the quarantine does not solve the isso, nor the “restore and add to the exceptions”.
Thanks for the answers in advance
You can report a possible FP here: http://www.avast.com/contact-form.php
Is it this programme ? If so it is running with no problem on my system
Yes,this is the program I’m talking about, and I didnt have any problems with it until recently neither.
I updated this programme yesterday and have experienced zero problems in running it. Could you update Avast and rescan the programme in the chest
Updated the program, restarted the system and scanned the folder. It says as yours. No threat deceted.
There must have been a streaming update that fixed it
The program still doesnt run on startup as it should though, and the files are still in the quarantine and cannot copy them back to their original place. So,while the antivirus doesnt signal a problem,it is still happening and cannot figure out how to make it work again as it should without reinstalling the service.
Right click the file that is in the chest, click restore. Reboot … Does that fix it ?
No,the problem is still persist. I can manually start a program though, but the automatic start is not working anymore.
I may have found a solution. So,basically avast has deleted the files I needed to start the program, therefore it deleted it from the “startup” folder also. While I’m not sure if the Intel Rapid etc was there before, i have made a shortcut and pasted it there, now combined with the repair from avast it seems to be working and starts right after windows bootup as it should.
Avast probably removed the run key thinking about it… But all is well now ?
Yes,everything seems to be working just fine now.
