I have been using avast for over 5 years on many different PC and this is my FIRST problem. I curently have one DeskTop, three LapTops and my mobile phone all registered with avast. I can access all but one laptop in myavast account. Can anyone help me with this minor problem?
Is this installation showing that it is actually connected to your account in the Summary section of the avastUI ?
Yes it shows connrcted to my xxxxxxxxxxxx@gmail.com account
Try deleting the device from your my.avast.com account and reconnect to the account from your avast installation.
SIGH…If I could delete it from myavast account I wouldnt be here waisting my time.Did you read my first post.
Ensure that the avastUI, Settings, Account, Account Setting are set to ‘Report program status to the avast! account’ this is a default setting, if this is enabled you might try reducing the Update frequency.
If these are set to the defaults and a change in the update frequency doesn’t help then try Disconnecting the installed avast version on the laptop, avastUI, Settings, Account, Disconnect.
Then try reconnecting the installation - you might want to reboot and leave it a little while before doing this.
Nope! Still not fixed.
That usually resolves the issues, I’m at a loss at to why it hasn’t.
Are there any issues, something different with your internet connection on that laptop ?
Whilst I can’t see how this might be directly related to synchronising with your laptop and the my.avast account, you could try an avast Repair on that system.
