I have been using avast free for years but recently each time it updates it removes all my firewall entries

The firewall is being reset to the defaults and all services, chrome, word, etc. etc all have to be approved again as theyh request internet access. This has happened now for at least 3 updates.
First, I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member.
As requested by “prokopes” a screenshot would help, him/avast to help you.

Thanks, I think Avast already knows exactly what’s happening, forcing me to subscribe. I will just use a combination of other free open-source solutions. I just can’t deal with the back and forth that will end up at the same place I started. LOL Have a good day
