Avast reporting win32 atraps-PF and win32 malware-gen -- thought i posted before

I was reviewing some videos on YouTube when my Avast started telling me that the file system shield has detected and blocked a threat. Now, every 5 minutes, it opens up with 4 warnings – 2 of which are relative to win32 atraps-PF, and two more which are relative to win32 malware-gen.

I have made to attempts to remove the malware other than to google as much information as i could. As i always do, I am turning to you for advice.

Thank you!

Jack

[*]When finished, it shall produce a log for you.
[*]Please include the C:\ComboFix.txt in your next reply.

Notes:

  1. Do not mouse-click Combofix’s window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.
  2. Do not “re-run” Combofix. If you have a problem, reply back for further instructions.
  3. If after the reboot you get errors about programmes being marked for deletion then reboot, that will cure it.

Please make sure you include the combo fix log in your next reply as well as describe how your computer is running now

So far, so good. since running the quick scan on OTL, I haven’t gotten anymore popups from Avast telling me things are attacking me.

The Combo fix ran for nearly 45 minutes, even though the timer on the log says it ran for 10.

I did get a notice about 2 programs marked for deletion, and I will reboot as soon as I post this.

Thank you, as always, for your fine help!

Jack

Nice to see - once rebooted can you let me know of any outstanding problems
