Avast Rescue Fail to create

Hi there,

I’m new here but have read a number of postings around failing to create a rescue disk for both USB and CD (iso).
I’ve tried the suggestions around turning shields off, other possible programs which may interfere but to no avail.
Fails around the 24% mark.

Running version 20.7.2425 (build 20.7.5568.596)
Windows 10 (64 bit) Pro.

Any advice?

It would be good if you posted there to keep information together in one place.

One simple thing to try is Repair of Avast.
From the User Interface.
Menu>Settings>Throubleshooting [Repair App]

Note the progress meter is not smooth and linear. It will stick for several seconds (maybe minutes) at certain percentages, so give it plenty of time.
