For whatever reason on all browsers, firefox and internet explorer, Avast tries to get me to install Avast safe price. This is an annoying add on which will hijack your browser and make it go to shopping sites. Avast please don’t add such stupid add ons and remove this one, because simply put it is adware and possibly malicious. According to several last year you guys were supposed to stop this addon but it seems you didn’t. I would appreciate this getting the attention it deserves. >:(
1]
Safe price is a option, not a must.
2]
It has absolutely nothing to do with browser hijacking.
3]
It isn’t adware and not malicious.
4]
It is the users choice to install and/or use it or not.
If you don’t want it…
Don’t install it or when already installed remove it.
‘Safe price is a option, not a must.’
Safe price attempted to install itself, and regularly retries - every couple of days, it tries to install itself to my Firefox. At no point in the installation procedure for Avast was I notified that this would be happening.

Maybe not malicious, but it steps in when you are looking at goods on the internet and tries to direct you to someone else’s store. It automatically inserts an advert into a website as displayed to the end user. It’s adware.

Kindly tell me how. There is no option in the AOS menu (http://i.imgur.com/JW1C4eS.jpg), and in my addons list there is no ‘remove’ button as there is with most of my other addons. The only way I can see at the moment to stop the regular requests to activate the addon is to completely remove Avast from my computer, which is looking increasingly inviting.

It’s not a ‘nice’ solution but it did work fine: start your computer in safe mode and delete the map ‘safe price’ in ‘program files/avast/safe price’
You don’t need to go into safemode to remove any of the components.
I only could remove safe price in safe mode.
You probably need to disable avast’s self-defence module - avastUI > Settings > Troubleshooting - uncheck the ‘Enable avast’s self-defence module.’
Enable it after making any changes.
Thanks!
You’re welcome.
You can also keep AOS just don’t allow SafePrice
