Avast Sandbox

am running Avast 6.0.1 on Widnwos Xp Sp2

Whenever I download a program and try to execute it Avast warns me that is SAndbox’d.
But the downloads (exe’s) are from reputable origins. don’t want to disable Sandbox as it may
one day find something evil.

Any ideas out there?

Set the sandbox settings to Ask, you can also add files to be excluded here also, see image. But when set to Ask, you should be able to decline the request and I believe have it remember the decision, etc. This will possibly add the application to the sandbox exclusions, but I don’t know this as I haven’t experienced this on my XP system. Which is why I would like some sample links so I can gather that information on the actions and images of them.

Can you give some of these program links that you downloaded, thanks.

Add it to the AutoSandbox exclusion settings.
You can also set your AutoSandbox to “Ask” mode (for advanced users).

One idea:
