I want to report a serious fraud! After I posted on Avast Software Facebook page last night that I had the same problem with other people and I was requesting a refund for the unauthorized renewal of my AVAST subscription, “SUPERVISOR ANDERSON CLAIM DESK” asked me to send them a direct message. I did so, and they requested my WhatsApp number to call me and guide me on how they would refund my money.
Someone called me and, for over an hour, pretended to help me by asking me to enter my Visa card details. After several unsuccessful attempts and a growing suspicion that something was off, I hung up the phone.
I was shocked when I checked my bank account—some of my money was gone!!! In two attempts they withdrew 300 euros from my account and I was notified by my bank that there was a third attempt to withdraw 631 euros! If I had not hung up the phone after suspecting a fraud, they would have withdrawn the above amount too. IS AVAST aware of these illegal actions???
