Avast Scan Frozen And Sheilds Automatically Turned Off!

So recently i had 175 rookkits on my computer (dont ask how) and they all ‘Got cleared’ from Avast. But now i tried to do a scan to check if all the virus’s are off and it has been ‘Scanning’ the same file for nearly a day. I Cant stop the scan. if i restart my comp it automatically restarts the scan. Then my 3 Shields stopped working… i cant turn them back on either. i tried to repair the program. but there is no repair button in control panel. Only remove. And ive tried to update but it wont update either. What Do I Do?

HELP!

There is a repair option.
Control panel > software > avast > change/remove > choose repair

It isn’t there! Only Uninstall… And i dont want to uninstall it!

Did you even click on the change or remove button ?

Look closely to the second picture.
It very clearly says REPAIR at the left.

thanks didnt see that. Aha. repairing now. hopefully it will fix things.

There is a reason why computers have a screen.
People should look at what it displays :wink:

After the repair, reboot and let us know how things are.
