Hello, Avast Community.
I woke up this morning to find my email account had been hacked so I decided to do a full system scan with avast and these are the results, 5 infected files detected and 7 others whose path could not be found. Any info on them would be great. I’ve done some research as well and have heard the top 5 could be a Trojan/Rootkit. I only posted 1 path of the 5 “infected files”. They’re all from HP games. Any info would be great. Thank you for your time

you may upload and test the file at virustotal
The others are avast virus definitions…i think this happens when/if you scan and avast have just done some house cleaning in the def folder
if you reboot and scan again it should be gone
Thank you for replying and I’ve been going through all the information on the links you sent me. I just have one problem. How do I upload the path to VirSCAN.org if it is secluded in my virus chest. Will I have to restore it?

yes...if you had to do it...
the best is to create a folder that is not scanned by avast and restore it to that folder and then upload to a online multi scanner....
DavidR has posted how to a million times in here but i never bookmark it ;D
A million and one ;D
You can’t do this with the file securely in the chest, you need to Open the chest and right click on the file and select ‘Extract’ it to a temporary (not original) location first, see below.
Create a folder called Suspect in the C: drive. Now exclude that folder in the File System Shield, Expert Settings, Exclusions, Add, type (or copy and paste) C:\Suspect*
That will stop the File System Shield scanning any file you put in that folder.
