Avast Secure Browser can't play audio in any Bluetooth device???

Do you have any idea how to fix this issue on avast secure browser???

Not very likely you can as doing so would open ASB to an insecure connection and defeat the purpose of ASB being a hardened and secure browser. AFAIK it cannot be done.

even youtube???..

Whist I don’t use the Avast Secure Browser, essentially what mchain is saying is:

It isn’t so much the location, but the the means of accessing it, via bluetooth, which is less secure, e.g. if it is outside the Avast Secure Browser.

The Avast Secure Browser is isolated from other applications.

EDIT: You should be able to access youtube if you are connecting to the URL from inside the Avast Secure Browser

Yep, YouTube is accessible, see attached below.

You can even use Video Downloader to capture mp4 files via ASB.

For viewing videos, ASB seems to work well, better than Firefox.

what I mean is the bluetooth speaker is not working in youtube when you use avast secure browser…

Have you tried other browsers to see if Bluetooth speaker works for them?

yes…all browser available on the computer is working…

Reported to Avast Team.

Thank you…

Hi GReTch,

I’m afraid that we have been unable to reproduce the issue with Bluetooth devices and Secure Browser. Can I ask you the following:

  • Are you using Secure Browser in Bank Mode?
  • Can you check whether Windows is switching the playback device when you use Secure Browser? (To check this, please click the speaker icon in the taskbar notification area - the playback device is shown at the top of the volume control).

I’m not using secure browser for bank mode…
The playback device is normal and not switching to other devices…

Even in other website that has a video and audio secure browser will not work on bluetooth…

Hi GReTch,

Can I ask you to check that the Volume Mixer hasn’t accidentally been set to mute Secure Browser (as in the attached image)? To open the Volume Mixer, please right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar notification area > click “Open Volume Mixer”

I already double check everything…nothing wrong with the volume mixer…

Hi, I tested it on Win 10 RS5 64bit

I cannot reproduce the problem. I connected Bluetooth Headphones, paired and opened Avast Secure Browser. I went to Youtube and it worked fine.

Does your other non-bluetooth device make any sound?
Can you send us diagnostic info please? secure://settings/diagnosticInfo

Thanks
