Avast Secure Browser keeps closing with seconds of opening. I’ve tried updating, Uninstalling, and Reinstalling to no avail. I’ve updated Windows 10, attempted a restore, and experimented with both Chrome and Windows Edge. Nothing I have done seems to make a difference. I’m sure that I am missing something, but can not figure out what that might be.
It was working perfectly up until a few days ago. Please help me fix the problem. Thanks.

Have you tried to uninstall using removal tool https://download.avastbrowser.com/avast_secure_browser_uninstall.exe (Run as administrator) and install again?
Could you please provide version of browser you have?
Yes, that has been done (several times now). I had hope that would be the solution, but unfortunately not.
As for the browser - I use Windows 10, Google Chrome.
I have not been able to fix this problem. Other than giving up hope, is there a solution to this problem?
Please try this.
Clean install of the Secure Browser:
Maybe it’s time for a clean install of the Secure Browser
Download the installer from here, https://www.avast.com/en-us/secure-browser
Download the Secure Browser Removal tool from here, https://download.avastbrowser.com/avast_secure_browser_uninstall.exe
Save your Bookmarks via the Book Marks Manager if you have custom bookmarks so you can import them when you re-install.
Uninstall Secure Browser via Programs and Features - Reboot
Run the removal tool, reboot, run the installer import your favorites if you saved them.
A video to help with the installation: https://youtu.be/r_VLA0HMLQM
Avast has offered a separate tool to totally remove the Secure Browser if the above instructions don’t work.
You can find that tool here, https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=230288.msg1531315#msg1531315
Report back if that’s solved the problem or not.
