Avast Secure Browser launches automatically even though the switch is off.

Basically the title. I don’t know how or why but despite the switch being turned off the browser still automatically turns on. It’s not that annoying but I don’t want to deal with it forever. How do I fix this?

Yes, I have this issue too. Getting quite annoying. It launches the browser at start-up and says it is configured to run automatically and the only options are “OK” or “Settings”. When you go to Settings, that option is already switched off.

NOTE: After posting above, I found that ASB is listed as a system startup item even though this has been switched off in the browser settings! Very sneaky. In TASK MANAGER (Ctrl+Alt+Del)>Startup tab, disable the ASB item. Hopefully, this will stop the annoying issue.

Hi, open Bank Mode and see if the settings there correspond with your ASB settings.
