So today I uninstalled the older version and installed the newer one, I read about it today on the Avast website on their discussion forum and thus it was resolved and I logged into the “Avast SecureLine VPN Protection” application immediately.

Hi hamilton 33,

Where did you download/read about the old (it came out December? 2025) Version 7.1.14681? And how did you stop it automatically updating - via phone settings - apps?

While updating to this latest version 26.15.2 Build 260904787 released 16 September 2026 after entering the activation code, the same error code appeared.
