We are many in the Linux community and I think it is time for Avast to give us a spleble VPN for Linux.
If you are also interested, answer in this post.
I join the proposal, I am a Linux user and I need this VPN in my systems.
I also use Linux (specifically Zorin), and wish to have Avast Secureline as an option for VPNs. Several VPNs on Linus utilize the OpenVPN protocol, and it makes it hard to get around WiFi networks blocking the traffic. My place of education blocks any and all OpenVPN protocol traffic, and as I am switching over to Linux for my own security and privacy, and wish to have Avast Secureline be able to help me continue to have that privacy and security online.
As far as I’m aware the only Avast antivirus Linux product is for Business users, so unless there is some requirement for VPN in that business area, I doubt it would proceed.
I would also love if there was a way to use Avast VPN on other ways other than with the application/program.
I’m on Fedora (Linux) and currently I can’t use the VPN 'cause I have no way of installing it, which is disappointing.
Even just providing the configuration files through OpenVPN etc for those who paid the license would be enough.
I support this. The year is 2024, we want to use VPN on Linux.
