When enabled, speedtest showed good Download speeds but poor Upload speeds.
However, the shocker is that when I downloaded a Video file of 1 Gb, the download was virtually frozen at 0.
Speed was non existent.
I think that Avast is deliberately throttling the bandwidth of media files which is absolutely unacceptable.
A competitor’s VPN manages to download the same media file in about 3 minutes.
I have been fooled into purchasing this product.

Avast does not throttle any bandwidth. It is more likely that the site from which you were downloading the data was restricting the speed. Please try a different VPN location.
