Hi!
New user here.
During these days my avast mobile security couldn’t update Virus definitions, reporting me a connection error even if my cell phone was connected. So I decided to unistall the app and reinstall it, but… the 2024 version is not compatible with my smartphone.
I read that the new Avast Mobile Version is for Android 8… I have android 7 and I can’t update it, my phone is old…

Is still there any link, any installation file for Android 7 version?
If not I’ll have abandon Avast for my smartphone. :frowning:

I’m not even sure if Android 7 is still supported.

Yes I read the requirements. Maybe it’s as you said: Android 7 isn’t supporter anymore.
I have the same issue on my Samsung Tablet with Android 7.
I think I have to abandon Avast for this devices. :cry:

Unfortunately, the has to keep up with changes to the Android releases, often in these Android updates, they include additional security and features and there comes a time when that has to stop or the Avast program would become more and more complex trying to support old Android versions.

Yes you’re right. At the moment I can’t afford to buy new devices and I can’t install Android 8 in the old ones. :cry:
