Avast Seriously Killing Internet/wifi connection when installed

Hello, So I am having issues with Avast. I have been using Avast for years across multiple devices including premium from time to time however I’ve noticed some extreme connection throttling
when this program is installed. I have 1-gb fibre internet and I use a wifi antenna with it. But for years I was only getting about 50-100mbs of that while avast installed. I upgraded to a new PC today and before installing avast tested the connection, I was getting well into 500mbs+ but when I install avast and try that number is greatly hindered back down to 50-100mbs.
Disabling all shields does not seem to do anything for this at all. Ive uninstalled the program entirely for now until I can figure out why it seems to be slowing down the connection this much. It is expected ofc to be some what slower having all those shields/feats essentially checking the connection over and over, but to this extent makes the program essentially unusable until you have an issue occur.

Is anyone able to help me with this?

@Jaylooall, the nearest thing to this I was experiencing earlier this year was that something within my Avast premium install, maybe a bug or some such issue, was making my laptop CPU run constantly above 70% with no slowdown. I couldnt keep my laptop on for more than 15-20 minutes as it was heading towards gettig too hot and the fans were running like helicopter blades at point of take off, That was slowing my speed down and web pages and things like you tube were taking ages to load. i never get buffering but this was an issue. I contacted Avast and they suggested run repair mode which didnt work, so then it was full unistall then a clean reinstall. I done that and it stopped the Avast program running up my CPU. within a week it was doing it agian, so repeated the uninstall and clkean re install twice moire within weeks but then with the latest version it stopped and it has never happened since. On start up, Avast premium is at the top of the list in task manager running about 30-40% but once its done the initial start up scan and maybe a Virus definition update, CPU is back down to 2-3% and speed is running good.

As you checked your mbs speed, what was the CPU running at in task manager with your Avast install, Could it be that as it was a new Avast install, the program could be doing a full automatic scan or some such thing which would slow things down for a little while. If it was in scan or update mode once the install was finished then the CPU would be up higher than normal running speed.
