"avast! Service (32 bit)" Process is using more then 50% of CPU

Hi,

Had a problem earlier with facebook not opening while avast secure DNS shield enabled. Did a re-install and it fixed it but now in another mess, that is: “avast! Service (32 bit)” AvastSvc.exe is using 50-60% of cpu.
So, I rebooted in safe mode, uninstalled the avast using avast removal tool. Rebooted and installed it again. But issue still there.

OS: Win8 64 bit.
CPU: i7 2.00 GHZ
RAM: 8 GB
Avast Internet Security version 11.1.2253

Really clueless now.

Update:

[ol]- Restored whole OS using recovery drive.

  • Kespersky IS 2013 was installed by default. Rebooted into safe mode and removed it using kespersky removal tool.
  • Rebooted and installed Avast Internet Security.[/ol]

Issue still exists and only option seems left is to uninstall it :frowning:

Did as per instructions and lets see what happens. For now, going to remove it and switch to kespersky, been using avast since 3 years now and gonna hate switching it.
