Avast shield brower

Can avast shield brower detect 100% of virus and block them using the brower shields?

Presumably you are you talking about the ‘Web Shield’ or something else ?

As far as can it detect 100% - I don’t think anything (including Avast) is ever going to be able to say that it will detect 100% of virus and block them. This is an ongoing battle between malware developers and those trying to combat it.

I have only been using Avast Antivirus Free for Windows for just over 20 years - for me that is 100% - but could it be 100% guaranteed

Thanks for the information.Cause its really a battle between my pc and malwares.

You’re welcome.

If you can explain in some more detail about this battle ?
e.g. are you intentionally trying to connect to these sites ?

Hm one time i was stupis ao yea

And im still worried about it now

You have a right to be worried, but as I said nothing in life is 100% including antivirus protection.

So as you said, having been stupid once, you hopefully learnt from it. Avast I feel offers good protection, but plan for the worst and hope for the best (as the saying goes).

In this case it would be to make regular backups of your system that in the event of a problem you should be able to recover from it so you don’t lose what is important to you. Documents, Photos, Browser data, such as your favourite sites, settings, passwords (logon settings, etc. Windows backups are one thing, but these need to be saved so they aren’t on the computer.

For many this means using a backup program that can save all of this off the computer to a USB drive, so when ready you can restore that backup.

Thank you for replying to me.I share my computer with my dad and my sister. So if i get a virus can the cirus invade other accouts?

I honestly don’t know for certain, but I suspect it is possible and likely.

So backing up as I mentioned should include their data, etc. if stored on the same hard drive.

Even so a system failure could leave you with a problem if you haven’t made backups.

Ok uh if you don’t mind can i ask 2 questions?

I suspect you are going to ask how to do this, which isn’t easy in the context of the forums.

I use the standard windows 10 backup, but also copy the whole system to an external SSD. I do the windows backup ever two weeks and copy the whole drive to external drive alternate weeks.

There are likely to be issues making this a little more complex having multiple users on the one system. There are also many different backup programs also.

No i mean can i aak other things?

Unless they are directly related to avast, I would suggest type your query and search using google(dot)com.

You could ask in the General sub-forum which may draw a response, but would obviously someone having experience on what you may ask.

Ok thank you
