Avast site blocking can’t block the new website of youtube which is http://www.youtube.com/starcount and https://www.youtube.com/user/starcount/channel . please fixed it , thank you in advance support team.
That’s funny…I just added it to the Avast blocked url’s under the Security tab/tools and its block. Did you do this?
blocking the first site works, but the second one is not… Please fixed it …
try search youtube star account on google.com then click it … the website still appear
Any specific reason you need to block it? Is it a parental thing? If so there are several ways to do that other then Avast.
we block youtube to reduce internet lag… a friend of mine has an internet shop for gamers… what other application or software?
You can use a secure DNS. Also K-9 Web Patrol allows you to block certain sites. OpenDNS allows you to block certain domains. If your friend has an internet shop then he should have more then enough bandwidth. Your best bet is to use a parental control. You can simply Google “How to block certain websites” and you find a plethora of ways. You can edit your host file also.
Since the Web Shield handles the site blocking (creation of the page display) and it doesn’t monitor HTTPS traffic it subsequently can’t block https URLs. If you type in an https url in the site blocking you will notice that http gets placed in front of the url.
