Avast Smart Scan hangs on Network Threats 43% everytime I run it

Hi
I have had Avast for years but since upgrading to windows 10 it wont smart scan past Network threats 43%.
Running in compatibility mode for windows 8 but no joy - I have tried repairing Avast and troubleshooting
but nothing has worked - advice please

It may be a known issue, but is there a known solution? I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. I have Windows 7 64 bit and Smart Scan hangs at Network Threat (68% for me). Thanks.
