Avast Software Analyzer - High memory usage

My Avast Free Edition has a process Avast Software Analyzer (aswbIDSAgent) which eat a lot of memory , my laptop running on Windows 11 22H2 with 16GB RAM and AMD Ryzen 7 4800U, but this Avast Software Analyzer consuming 7GB of RAM 38% CPU .

I tried to stop the below functions , but doesn’t help to reduce the usage of RAM

  • Behavior Shield
  • Mail Shield
  • Software Updater
  • Cleanup

Anyone has the solution ?

it’s hard to help you with this info because you haven’t specified the AV version.
Could you please follow steps in https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=237567.0 and share the results?

This started last week on my laptop PC as well. Runs all the time, risking PC overheating. How to turn it off? If this can’t be turned off, will force me to cancel Avast and purchase another anti-virus. Have been pleased with Avast up until now…
