Avast sous Linux?

Je vais passer mon PC sous linux (ubuntu). Je ne vois pas de version Linux pour Avast premium security. Dois-je résilier mon abonnement ?

First, I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member.

As far as I’m aware Avast for Linux is only available as a Business Solution- Option.

Tout d’abord, je suis un utilisateur Avast et non un membre de l’équipe Avast.

Pour autant que je sache, Avast pour Linux n’est disponible qu’en tant qu’option de solution commerciale.

As DavidR says, there is no consumer version of Avast for Linux. See this:

All I can say is Avast do not offer an Antivirus product for Linux. I do not know the product in the link you have shown above. It says it is Avast but also mentions AVG. Whilst Avast and AVG are both GenDigital companies, that nevertheless makes me suspicious.

I suspect this is a very old article, given the date top left of your link of 5 Feb 08.

Now the link given, I visited out of curiosity (careful, it kills cats), and I suspect that whilst these links my be still present. I don’t think it would work if you tried to install as there would be no back-end support.

Created date is 2008, but update date is 12/09/2025… But I am following advice of you two: I will use soft provided with Ubuntu or install Clam if not included, and I will save my Avast premium subscription!

David, I was not knowing expression “It kills cat” (I’m french), but I guess meaning is “take care to hackers”, no ?

Thanks to you two.

Cats are very curious, that can be very dangerous, it could kill the cat.

In England it is a common saying.

So I was saying be careful when checking unknown links - as this one doesn’t directly link to avast but via Cubic(.)com
