Be sure to stop by the AVAST BOOTH Alice and I will both be manning the booth and would love to see some forum members there.
If you come early enough, you’ll even receive one of the following:
Alice and I will be leaving around Noon today for San Diego.
We’ll need to stop somewhere in Arizona and will arrive on June 1st.
The presentation is scheduled for June 4th at 10:45 AM and should last for about one hour.
Hopefully there will be many smiling faces in the audience. ;D
I was in the San Diego area Wednesday and Thursday. If I had known about this, I would have stayed an extra day, and checked it out, and would have loved the opportunity to meet you and Alice.
This is actually the second time I was close to an avast! “function”. I was in Frankfurt (working), when all of you people were in Prague visiting the avast! facilities. I had this wild idea of stopping in for a drink at the last minute, but, the 200 +/- miles were a bit much to schedule around.
Avast! should be highly grateful to you for your time, and personal commitment to their products. Thanks for posting the pictures, and conference information. Very interesting.
I also wish you had seen this posting earlier.
I’ll be in LA in the second week of Oct. for 5 presentations, maybe we can get together at that time ???
I have a couple of projects on the books for October, but, I’ll keep the LA area in mind specifically, for second week of October, and if I can work it out, I’ll find you…
I tried to change a couple of things for October, to accommodate a west coast trip, but alas, no luck. We’ll have to get together some other time.
Edit:
I’m sure you’ll be posting future events on the forums, and I’ll make it a point to visit here more often, to keep up with where and what you’re doing…
“IT Professional -Special Presentation - 9:30
Internet security will be demystified, in non-technical terms, by Bob Gostischa,
a volunteer presenter on behalf of Avast (the publisher of popular security software”
47 very appreciative computer users where in attendance this morning.
I was there for about 1 3/4 hours for the presentation and lots of questions.
I had more avast users in this audience than I usually have which is a good sign.
