Avast STILL hates Python

I have a core python executable which is integral to the operation of the python programming language, and is consistently marked as a virus (not it HAS a virus, but IS a virus…) all other AV apps from norton to avira have passed it… it is a necessary file…
WTF do i do
The file is PYTHONW.EXE

send us (virus@avast.com) the file to analyze, please. Put “False positive” to subject.

I also love python and avast too love it.
Avast doesnt detect that file as a virus “have ActiveState Python 2.6”,you may have a file infector which infect the file “pythonw.exe”.

perhaps, but exactly HOW do i send it? i only have GMAIL!

You could send the sample to avast as a False Positive:
Open the chest and right click on the file and select ‘Submit to virus lab…’ complete the form and submit, the file will be uploaded during the next update.

You could put a link to this topic in the information.
