Avast still signing email footer after uninstall

My colleague noticed that avast was signing the footer of her emails with something like ‘… has been scanned with avast’ but she doesnt remember installing avast so it must have been from the previous user.

I executed the avast_clear.exe uninstaller, windows went in safe mode and uninstalled avast, so we tried sending a mail to herself to see if the footer is still there and it still was.
Anyone knows why this is still happening? how do I fix this so avast doesnt sign the footer anymore.

EDIT:
I think it was the premier version because when the uninstaller ran, it already had the premier version selected when asked which avast version we had

If you removed avast the footer will not be there anymore.
It can only be there if avast is still present and wasn’t removed.

Are you using a business version ?

It was the Premier version.

And it isnt on my computer, its on my colleagues computer

Remove avast completely or if you want to use avast, disable it in the settings.

How do i remove it completely? I used the uninstaller from

https://www.avast.com/nl-nl/uninstall-utility

What more can i do?

  • Remove avast through control panel
  • Run avastclear
  • Remove all leftovers (files/folders/registry entries) manually
