Avast suddenly blocking secure exe Files via Win 32 evo gen (susp)

Hi,

after having no issues with Avast for years, this morning Avast decided to screw with my whole PC. I started it like usual and Avast reported my “Fritz WLAN GUI” via Win 32 Evo.Gen (susp). Removing it from the Quarantine did not work, restoring it and adding it tzo the exceptions did not work. I was FORCED to go back to an earlier Windows Restore point, in order to use the Fritz GUI again.

After i did that and it went through smoothly, i had to reinstall a game (Retail Version of Far Cry 3, Original DVDs) i installed a few days ago. Now Avast reported the setup.exe and didnt accept me putting an exception on it. The only way to stop it, was to Whitelist the path: “C:/USERNAME/AppData/Local/Temp/*”. Again it was the Win 32 Evo.Gen (susp)

How can that happen all of the sudden? It’s not like it randomly started doing that, after the PC ran for some time. I start it up and out of nowhere: “Threat found” even though i know those files are secure and never had any issue since i have the PC (December 2014).

Avast is running on the newest Version 10.3.2225

EDIT: I sent the files in question via False Positive already. I hope this doesn’t happen again, bc like i said: I’m using Avast on this PC since i own it (December 2014) and i used Avast on my former PC for 2 years with no issues.

Hello,
send us the detected files through https://support.avast.com/ → Avast Virus Lab as False positive, please.

I have same problem with Avast blocking certain software and sending to quarantine. Printer, mouse software, cd rom emulator, and much more. I had to uninstall Avast and return to a previous restore point. If I didn’t uninstall Avast, it would update to latest version and quarantine same items all over again, with a host of additional items added as well, including Google Earth! I’m running fine at present, but I have a feeling that if I were to install Avast I would be back to the very same problem. Oh, this all started early this morning. Also, I seem to have the same problem with Firefox that I see others posting as well, browser has slowed immensely after the latest Avast update, but running just fine now with Avast removed. I’ve been an Avast user for more years than I can remember and have never experienced anything like this.

Avast is running just fine on my laptop at present, but I haven’t let it update to latest version as I’m truly wary of doing so after all this on desktop.
