I gave up on Norton/Symantec products a long time ago. They are not only very heavy, but also
They like to work their email protection through a local application-level proxy. For someone who uses chained local mail proxies for other purposes, this can become a royal pain in the hindparts.
Their tech support is not only incompetent, but amazingly arrogant as well. Once you see the answers you get from Symantec support, you will consider being totally ignored by Alwil the gold standard for tech support.
Their methods of handling automatic renewals and licensing issues are slimy.
Many of us on this board understand and share your feelings. I hope that Alwil/Avast does manage to solve your problems.

mmm avast has already deleted three times my ticket support regarding itunes store searching freezes…i’ve already asked their personal why and they don’t answer me i bet they used to work at symantec before dude.
