I was scanning my pc with avast! in safe mode and avast! flagged sysclean as a virus. Is there anything like an ignore list in avast. This file is in ‘C:\Program files\Sysclean\sysclean.exe’. I use Sysclean as a backup to my usual av. It is the first time that avast identifies sysclean as a virus. Thanks.
I believe this topic about ‘sysclean’ may have been discussed recently, so a forum search may help.
You could also check the offending/suspect file at: Jotti - Multi engine on-line virus scanner if any other scanners here detect them it is less likely to be a false positive.
What virus was detected?
What is your OS?
avast has an exclusion list for on-demmand (normal, Windows) scanning.
avast boot time scanning has an ignore feature.
But, follow David’s advices first…
