I have XP right now but I will be going to Windows7 soon. If I upgrade from free service to a paid version can I transfer it to my new W7 when I get it?
Yes:
Uninstall avast from the old system, save your license file to a USB.
Install avast on the new system, copy the license file on the usb to the new system and use the same license.
