Avast ultimate purchase

On 03/09,I purchased what I thought was coverage for one year at a little over 40.00. Long story short I was floored that the charge was 71.15, that and I found the product too difficult for me. I asked for a refund less than 24 hrs after I purchased it. The purchase withdrawal showed pending in my checking account. on 03/10 the refund was put into my account, then removed as a payment. I keep getting emails like I still purchased the software. I cannot get someone to understand. The top transaction is after the refund which is the withdrawal. Can someone tell me how I can get this straightened out?

On 03/10/2021, we sent a confirmation email to you stating that we have processed your refund request (this typically takes 5 to 7 business days). This means that you should receive your money by 03/19/2021.
On the other hand, since these transactions took place in such a short period of time, it is also possible that the money never really left your account, and since the bank received the notification that a refund was sent had to perform a withdrawal adjustment credit; hence you see $71.15 and then -$71.15 (it might not seem logical, but that is how they sometimes do it). I would suggest that you first contact the payment card issuer (usually your bank) and clarify with them if the money was actually sent back to Avast after the refund into your account.
