Avast uninstall corrupted windows

so i just used the normal control panel uninstal for windows, i then went to reboot my system and my system is stuck in the boot up repair loob followed by everyones favorite blue screen.

in digging around trying to fix it i found a article with indentical symptoms relating it to uninstalling avast, heres that article:
http://www.eightforums.com/general-support/62595-registry-corrupt-after-uninstalling-avast.html

there are no restore points, i cant repair, pretty much any simple fix hasnt worked. ive done pretty much every command prompt fix i could find with no luck.

my question is has anyone else had this issue and been able to resolve it? i cant boot into safe mode but i currently am booted into linux from a thumb drive and was at least abe to copy my files off.but id prefer not to have to wipe my drive, so are there any fixes i can do from here?

Prior to having avast, what antivirus did you have? Did you use it’s removal tool? If you can remember what antivirus did you have prior to Avast, run it’s removal tool in safe mode. After that, download and run this tool. Avast Uninstall utility. It will tell you that this tool will run your computer automatically in safe mode, click yes and follow the instructions.

After that download and install Avast. After installation, it will do a quick start up scan and after that restart your computer manually, and register your copy of avast.

If that still doesn’t help you might have malware on your system. Follow the instructions mentioned here https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0 and attach the requested logs in your next reply.

i only really used windows defender before avast. ive never had much in the way of viruses.

am i able to install the uninstall tool from my linux boot? cuz like i said i cant start windows in safe mode or otherwise.

Sorry my apologies. I misread that you are using on linux. Copy and paste this question in the Linux/Unix of this forum. Link is here https://forum.avast.com/index.php?board=36.0 and somebody will be able to help you out.

You are two very important system files missing, without them there is no chance of booting

You are left with the windows 8.1 refresh option I am afraid http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows-8/restore-refresh-reset-pc

-.- great. well thanks anyways. i did try a self fix, but i was careful to make sure i didnt mess with stuff i didnt understand. i let a buddy try fixing it as well and i think he may have messed some things up. i did that before i figured out that uninstalling avast was the root cause of the problem. well thanks anyways

I am trying to figure out how uninstalling caused this, did you use the avastclear utility ?
