i recently tried to update my free avast and now i cannot run my PC —dELL desktop using Vista. I tried to use restore point but this won’t work and i ran microsoft start up repair which can’t fix. i can’t access the PC to try and run safe mode. I’m not too educated with the tech side of computers. can anyone help.
did you have any other AV program installed before you installed avast ?
was there a preinstalled AV when you got the computer ? DELL computers usually comes with Norton or McAfee
have you uninstalled it ?
