I have brand new AEA server setup. I have deployed the client to 2 Win XP and 1 Win 7 and they are green and communicating with the AE server every 10 minutes. But they are not getting the newest VPS version.
I also have deployed to 1 Win XP, 1 Win 2003 server and 1 Win 2008 server and they are not at all communicating to the server.
Firewall is turned OFF on the AEA server and will not be turned on. I have tried turning off the firewall on the clients but nothing have changed. When I update manually on the clients it will tell me that it is upto date.
I have the same problem, all green, but VPS version is 120612, which is from the date I did initial AEA install.
In the AEA Mirror status I can see that mirror is up-to-date, but clients are not getting updated.
I have even set clients to update from Internet and turned on streaming updates, but with no effect.
Also when I try to push updates from server, most of clients fail, but some of them say Done, and the version remains the same.
I have workgroup setup, firewall turned off, I have the same admin account on all PCs, with same password, and I can’t think of anything else…
Also I have problem with removing infected files from the Chest: when I do Rdesktop to clients PC, I can empty the Chest, but not when I attach to it from Server.
There is a bug with the mirror. AVAST Software is working to solve it. For the moment, and only AEA users, not ASOA:
Please do the following:
1 - locate the following file in the installation of AEA - …mirror\lighttpd\conf\lighttpd-inc.conf
2 - re-name lighttpd-inc.conf to lighttpd-incold.conf just to make a backup file
3 - copy attached lighttpd-inc.conf file to that location
4 - restart mirror service
