I hope this is the right place to post this. I’ve been having trouble with my yahoo e-mail. Each thing that I click on takes about 20 secs to open. Each click freezes the computer for that length of time. Yahoo advised me to shut down my antivirus, (avast). I did so and it restored the e-mail to normal. Fine, but when I turn avast back on the e-mail acts up again. What can I do to keep my mail working normal while keeping avast on. Thanks
I can’t believe a support say to disable the antivirus… these guys are joking with the user…
You can temporary disable to see where is the problem, but not permanently.
Which is your firewall? Any other security program that could interfere? Which browser are you using?
Perhaps I worded it wrong. They said to turn off the antivirus and see if that takes care of the problem. They didn’t say to disable it. After seeing that it was what was causing the problem I then have turned it back on. I believe Spybot has my Firewall. I also have a porno blocker. I haven’t tried shuting down either of those but I’ll give them a try. I’m using IE 8. Thanks
How do you read your email on Yahoo? Do you read it in the Yahoo web interface only or are you using an email client to read your mail like Outlook Express or Thunderbird?
I just open yahoo mail and sign in. I have no outlook express or anything else. Something else I learned since yesterday. If I leave avast working and shut down my porno blocker it also clears up the problem but when either the blocker or avast is on I’ve got the problem. My porno blocker is SafeEyes.
