avast! volunteered a security scan, and???

Hello, just received an email from avast! saying it freely scanned my computer and found 7 infections in the network and the web. I was glad about this but then it disappeared before I could tell it to quarantine and/or delete them…IF it provided space for telling it!!!

Because it disappeared I couldn’t send you a screenshot for you to see. But I hope someone knows what’s this about?

hey and welcome to the forum. that sounds not like avast the avast team does not do that what i know. you might be infected with a avast rough malware. I suggest to be safe please follow this guide and attach your logs. a malware expert will help you from there if something comes up on the logs.

Thank you so much! I did scan with Malwarebytes anti malware, it found 4 ad links and I deleted them. I also scanned with Ccleaner and didnt find any “objects”. I also scanned with avast! ditto results. Does this mean my computer is clean? Thanks again.

CCleaner does not find "objects" it is a tool for removing crap files
