Avast VPN Fault after latest update

Hi
I noticed that my avast VPN was updated today to version 5.10.5430

After this update i had to go into the menu to set it manually as there was no way to change country as before.
The problem I am having is that despite ticking start VPN automatically, if fails to start. I have to manually connect from the icon.

I am unsure why there would be a need to have smart VPN to not have a vpn unless it decides its needed? Surely its needed ALL the time?

Please can you tell me how or what I need to do in order for it to start working when i turn my pc on rather than having to manually start it. Please note the start VPN automatically option is ticked
but it still fails leaving the network open.

Hi,

I would suggest that you Restart your device (if not already done).
If it is still an issue then please re-install Avast SecureLine.
