for a few days now, when i choose NETHERLANDS in my avast vpn, it’s identified as USA by websites:

it’s boring since a lot of websites block USA !

same with me when connected to Japan, show in ipaddress.com as US also, when use Singapore detected as Czechia.

I have experienced this errant behaviour for many days (weeks).
When the server for Toronto, Canada is chosen the VPN UI claims
that users will see my location as Toronto. However a check of
the location from sites such as iplocation.net frequently (usually)
show I’m elsewhere. Examples:
New York City, New York
Seattle, Washington
Miami, Florida
Marietta, Georgia
Only after several disconnect/reconnect attempts do I finally see Toronto.
When coupled with the continuing inability to connect to sites such as
when Toronto is selected as the server (OK with Montreal and Vancouver
as reported to Avast many weeks ago), this VPN is too unreliable and
unpredictable to warrant renewing my subscription. In spite of being
spammed with renewal offers for the past four months.
