Avast warning that shields are turned off

I have a false positive…

When my computer turns on and Avast starts, there is an exclamation point on the icon. I open Avast, and there is a window that states my computer is at risk. Some of the shields are turned off. Nothing happens if I click ‘resolve all.’ I went to the shields, and they are all turned on.

I called Avast, and they said it was a systems issue with my computer. I have had computer issues in the past few months. Do you think this is the hard drive? Anyone else had this problem? Thanks!

I have a false positive.......
a program error is not a false positive

False positive https://www.virusbtn.com/resources/glossary/false_positive.xml

controlpanel > ad/remove programs > avast > uninstall/change > next popup box has a repair option >…

did that fix it?

When I called Avast, they said it was ‘a false positive.’ They said that so many times to me! Anyway, thanks for your suggestion. I’ll try it out.
