Avast Web Browser keeps opening Windows settings on startup

Hi all,

There is probably a really easy fix for this but I just can’t find it.

When I open the Avast browser it also opens the Windows 10 settings page?

Can anyone tell me how to disable this???

I never heard of this before, nor is it likely that the SafeZone Browser is causing it.

You could perform a repair of avast and see if it changes things.
If not, perform a real clean installation of avast.

  • Remove avast through apps and features
  • Run avastclear
  • Delete all leftover folders/files/registry entries
  • Install the latest avast version
